Green Lighting Guide

The Environmental Working Group just released a handy lighting guide. The guide covers topics such as planning where efficient light bulbs, such as compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), do most good, where not to install CFLs, etc.

UIC has taken several measures to improve lighting efficiency, and each year free CFLs are handed out to staff, students, and faculty, at various events. One of the partners has been the Citizens' Utility Board, and their website is full of information about consumer rights and other useful information.
