Office of Sustainability: Communications Aide

The Office of Sustainability seeks a sustainability-minded person to support our social media operations and help update components of our website.  Work tasks include updating Twitter/Facebook accounts, posting articles to our blog, adding events to our web calendar and other duties as assigned to support the office. 

Preferred skills:
Essential:
  • Experience with social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc)
  • Strong interest and understanding of sustainability-related topics
  • Google applications (Blogger, Documents, Calendar, Maps, etc.)
Desired (or willingness to learn):
  • HTML 4.01+
  • CSS 2.1+
  • Dreamweaver CS3+, or similiar WYSIWIG editor, or facility using text-based editors.
  • Adobe Creative Suite 3+ (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Must be available to work 10-20 hours/week during the workday (8:30 am to 5:00 pm).  Compensation for this position is consistent with the policies set by the UIC Student Employment Office.
