Smithsonian Internship: Environmental Science

SMITHSONIAN ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH CENTER, SERC INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE


Targeted Fields
Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. School of Education and Information Studies. School of Public Health. Including fields related to: environmental education and environmental information management.


Open To
Prospective/Current Graduate Students.

Citizenship
No citizenship requirements.

Eligibility Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in a university as an undergraduate or beginning graduate student, or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or Masters program. Applicants must be in a position to commit fully to the completion of a project.

Stipend
Stipend of $450.00 per week.


Deadline
2/1/2011 -for summer. 6/1/2011 -for fall. 11/15/2011 -for winter/spring.

Program Description
Several full-time (40 hours per week) internships offered for 10-16 weeks to gain hands-on experience in the fields of environmental research and education. Students work on projects under the direction of SERC's professional staff.
