Call for Clean Energy Challenge UIC team members - $100,000 prize

With support from Professor George Crabtree and the Office of Sustainability, students at UIC will be preparing an application for the Clean Energy Challenge, a competition involving solutions using renewable energy and offering a $100,000 prize.  This team will explore and develop the concept of a "Green Bus Stop," and will require a diverse team of students with skills and interests that include:
  • Forming a business plan and conducting market analysis
  • Designing architectural elements using urban design best practices
  • Creating a safe, secure place that is engineered to use renewable energy
  • Documenting and promoting the entire project in a 3-minute video pitch
Much preliminary work has already begun, and the team should submit their proposal by December 5, 2011.

Potential team members could be upper-level undergraduate students or Master's degree candidates.

To express an interest in joining the team, send a resume and letter of interest to baghab2@uic.edu before November 10th; please include "UIC Green Bus Stop" in the subject of the message.
